Accounting
The B.S. in Accounting is a four-year degree program that prepares students to enter the workforce or to enroll in the M.S. in Accounting program. More than number crunching, an accounting degree will provide you with knowledge and practical application in all aspects of accounting. Business Administration
A degree in business administration will equip you with tools from each facet of business -- marketing, management, finance, economics, and accounting. Economics
Economics is the foundation of good decision making. An undergraduate economics major will gain an excellent liberal arts education and fine professional training in the areas of economics and business. Marketing
Marketing is perhaps the most important function in any business. More than advertising, marketing is about understanding and satisfying customer needs in order to find and retain profitable customers. As a marketing major, you will understand consumer behavior, product development and market research, the psychology behind purchasing decisions, and effective methods of getting products and services to customers. Accounting
The M.S. in Accounting degree addresses the emerging needs of the accounting profession. Whether your goal is to become a certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountants (CMA), or other accounting professional, you will be expected to maintain a high level of technical competence and a strong sense of ethical commitment to service. In addition, you will also be required to possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work within a team setting. The M.S. in Accounting program will equip you with these skills, in addition to meeting the CPA exam requirements in Wyoming and most other jurisdictions. Enrollment in the College of Business Master of Science in Accounting program is available for individuals with an undergraduate degree in accounting or those from other disciplines who have met deficiency requirements. Business Administration (on-campus and online)
The Masters of Business Administration degree program focuses on the critical areas of solving business problems, decision-making, and interpersonal skills, and the integration of these skills through work on practical problems. The College of Business offers two masters of business administration programs: a traditional, on-campus program and the Executive MBA Program (online). Should you choose the one year, on-campus program, you will benefit from a small class size where you can network with professors and peers and from the technology that is embedded in coursework and class facilities. The Executive MBA Program is a two year curriculum designed for experienced business professionals interested in increasing their understanding of business principles or are interested in advancing in their profession. Economics
A Master of Science in Economics at the College of Business offers you the opportunity to individualize your education to meet your unique career goals. You will be required to complete five courses of study in your degree program, but the remainder of your coursework is chosen by you, according to your particular interest. This flexibility in course requirements gives you the choice of pursuing a broad exposure to contemporary economic problems, or of gaining a high degree of competence in one or two fields. Finance
A Master of Science in Finance builds on a foundation of business and management skills. Five core courses are required, and you may personalize the remainder of your coursework from a selection of restricted electives in economics, business, statistics, accounting, and finance. Dual Economics and Finance Major
A Masters with a Dual Major in Economics and Finance is designed to provide a more quantitative background suitable for research, including study at the PhD level or analysis as a financial market researcher. Your coursework will heavily emphasize research and quantitative methodologies. Once completed, this program will have prepared you for research or further graduate studies at the PhD level in both economics and finance. PhD in Economics
The doctoral program is designed to equip you for professional research in two or more of the complementary areas of concentration offered by the Department of Economics and Finance. Upon completion of your degree, you will also be qualified for university, government, or industry positions. You may choose from four areas of concentration: resource and environmental economics, industrial organization and regulation, international trade and development, and financial economics.
