Apply Online for the On-Campus MBA Program


Now that you have decided to join us, here is how to apply.

Step 1

Completed applications are necessary for both the University of Wyoming Graduate Admissions Application and the MBA Program MBA Application. You will be required to pay a $50 application fee for the university application.

Step 2

Transcripts from all previous college programs must be provided. Official transcripts should be sent directly from the schools you attended to the MBA Program office (Dept. 3275, 1000 E. University Ave., Laramie, WY 82071).

Step 3

GMAT test scores from within the past five years must be provided for the on-campus MBA program. A minimum GMAT score of 600 (minimum 34 verbal and 37 quantitative) is required for admission consideration. Your test scores must be sent directly to the MBA Program office by the sponsoring test provider. Our GMAT and GRE code is 4855. The GMAT exam is the preferred entrance exam for the MBA program.

GRE test scores from within the past five years must be provided for the on-campus MBA program. A minimum GRE score of 1200 is required for admission consideration. Your test scores must be sent directly to the MBA Program office by the sponsoring test provider.

Note: if you have not already taken the exam, you should plan to take the test by January to complete the application process in a timely manner.

Step 4

Letters of recommendation must be provided. Applicants with work experience should provide two letters of recommendation from research active faculty members in their undergraduate institiution and one letter of recommendation from an active business professional. Joint-degree and professional technical undergraduate applicants should provide three letters of recommendation from research active faculty members in their undergraduate.

Complete the top portion of the recommendation form and give to your reference. Then have your reference send the form with their letter directly to the MBA Program office.

Step 5

Submit your resume including professional and education experience to the MBA Program office. You may use the U.S. Postal Service or electronic mail (mba@uwyo.edu).

Step 6

TOEFL test scores must be provided (for applicants from non-English speaking countries).  A minimum score of 250 on the computerized exam, or 100 on the Internet-based test (TOEFL iBT)  is required for full admission. TOEFL scores are valid for two years.

OR Official IELTS scores sent to the University of Wyoming Admissions Office.  A minimum score of 6.0 is required for full admission.
NOTE: If your TOEFL score does not reflect the minimum requirements, you have not taken the test, or you simply need supplemental English study before attending the University of Wyoming, you have the opportunity to attend our ELS Language Center to improve your English language skills and waive the TOEFL requirement.  Visit www.uwyo.edu/els for details.

Class sizes are limited and the admission process is competitive. All your application materials should be received by our office by March 1 for consideration.
