The Department of Management and Marketing prides itself on the quality of instruction its faculty provides. Faculty positions:
Assistant Professor of Management
The Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management to teach and to conduct research in Strategic Management. Applicants should exhibit a secondary interest in one or more of the following areas: entrepreneurship, economic development or sustainable business practices. Salary and benefits are competitive with AACSB accredited schools.
The teaching load will be two courses per semester; undergraduate and MBA are both likely. Online classes may be available at extra compensation as well.
The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated the potential and/or ability to publish research in top quality journals and to teach effectively in undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in strategy or a related field from an AACSB-accredited university or from another recognized school. Prior industry experience is valued. Candidates should have an interest in providing expertise to the State of Wyoming as well as to the discipline. Finally, candidates should be committed to maintaining and enhancing a productive and collegial environment.
Closing and Appointment Dates
Initial screening of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The appointment will begin August 2010. Department faculty will be attending the 2009 Academy of Management meeting to discuss the position with qualified applicants.

W. Richard III and Margaret W. Scarlett Professor of Business
The Department of Management & Marketing in the College of Business at the University of Wyoming is seeking candidates for the W. Richard III and Margaret W. Scarlett Professor of Business. The successful candidate will be expected to lead research efforts in the strategy area, to teach courses in strategic management/business policy and to exhibit a secondary interest in one of the following areas: entrepreneurship, economic development or sustainable business practices. Associate professors with significant publication records or full professors will be considered. Teaching load is variable based on rank and job description. Salary will be appropriate for rank and accomplishments.

The College of Business
The UW College of Business is AACSB accredited and will move into a new $50 million office and classroom building in Fall 2010. The college currently offers undergraduate degrees in business administration, marketing, management, accounting, economics and finance and several minors, including entrepreneurship and international business. The college offers masters of business administration degrees, masters degrees in accounting, economics, and finance, and a Ph.D. degree in economics. A Ph.D. in marketing is forthcoming. An important emphasis of the college is Sustainable Business Practices.
